The Ouachita Herb Society presents the Spring Herb Faire on Saturday, April 12. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Junkin Sistas, 736 Ray Road, Calhoun, LA.
Features of the event include an herbal tea bar, garden demonstrations, live music, door prizes, and many more.
Food vendors will be attending the event as well. There will also be a chicken salad sandwich included with a picnic lunch that contains a secret recipe of herbs.
Angie O'Pry with the Ouachita Heb Society, talks about her admiration of herbs. "Herbs are just beautiful in the landscape... the smell of fresh basil reminds you of a good summer," O'Pry declares.
She also talks about what she hopes to provide to people attending the event. "Herb education... if you have a question about growing your herbs this is the place to come for some information."
