State of Louisiana and Office of the Lieutenant Governor provide grant funding

The Arts Council of Northeast Louisiana is pleased to announce the awarding of $37,500.00 in Louisiana Project Grant funding to seven Region 8 arts organizations. Region 8 is the 11-parish region served by the Arts Council.

Grants awarded to 13 programs in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee to provide innovative job training for high-quality career outcomes.

The University of Louisiana Monroe College of Pharmacy received a fully-funded grant to provide harm reduction education to first responders and decrease opioid overdose deaths in the state of Louisiana. The grant is the largest award given to the University in more than a decade.
