The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council hosts the annual "Blend" event that merges cultures within Louisiana through the presentation of the arts.

The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council is hosting the regional Poetry Out Loud Competition Saturday, February 18 at 10 a.m. at the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. The program aspires to build self-confidence, strengthen public speaking skills and educate participants about the history of poetry.

Mayor Friday Ellis and the City of Monroe are excited to announce a community art project in conjunction with the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council that’s kicking off in the city! The Candy Company Mural Project will feature 13 local artists whose works will be displayed on panels located on the side of the old Ouachita Candy Company.

The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council will begin distributing Start With Art kits to almost 600 children inkindergarten through fifth grade as part of a pilot program development by the Arts Council. This programprovides creative resources for children in Title I schools.
