Discover Monroe-West Monroe hosted 2 baseball world series championships this week in Ouachita Parish. The DBB World Series and the DYB World Series brought a total of over $1.88 million to Ouachita Parish.

Murphy USA announced on Tuesday that the El Dorado Shootout tournament is slated for September 23 to 25 at Mystic Creek Golf Course – ranked best golf course in the state by Golfweek – where top female golfers will compete for a total purse of $225,000.

The banks of the Ouachita River and Bayou Desiard, Monroe-West Monroe, Louisiana has everything you need for an unforgettable World Horseshoe Pitching Championship. Hosted at the Monroe Civic Center, the tournament will be held between July 11 and 23, 2022, and admission is free for everyone, with the competition beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at approximately 10 p.m. daily.
