In response to the President’s call to advance offshore wind development and accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy, the Department of the Interior today announced the next steps to bring the opportunity of offshore wind energy to the Gulf of Mexico.

As the second step in a three-step planning process, the Department of the Interior issued the “Proposed Program” for the National Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Program (National OCS Program) for the years 2023 to 2028.
