ULM awarded $2.5 million grant for Louisiana harm reduction education, the largest award in a decadeThe University of Louisiana Monroe College of Pharmacy received a fully-funded grant to provide harm reduction education to first responders and decrease opioid overdose deaths in the state of Louisiana. The grant is the largest award given to the University in more than a decade.

ULM Foundation Executive Director Susan Chappell announced that more than $18 million has been raised toward the SOAR Campaign. Established in July 2019 with the goal of raising $100 million by the University’s 100th anniversary in 2031, the SOAR Campaign will fund scholarships, opportunities for faculty, athletics, and renovations.

Elizabeth Shaw loved music, and she loved the University of Louisiana Monroe. Through her will, Shaw, who died in July 2021, bequeathed her instruments and musical items to the ULM School of Visual and Performing Arts in the College of Arts, Education, and Sciences.
