Karen Carlson left her hometown of Shreveport, LA and headed to Hollywood to break into show business.  She first landed parts in variety shows with Bob Hope,  James Garner,  Phyliss Diller and Red Skeleton and moved up to get cast in television programs and major motion pictures.  Her "big-break" came when she was cast in "THE CANDIDATE" playing opposite Robert Redford as his wife.  This experience would establish the model for her acting career.  She visits Centenary College in Shreveport to conduct an actors workshop Friday afternoon,  November 11, 2016.
