Creativity Continues at Starr Homeplace

http://starrhomeplace.org/pandemoniafoundation/events.htm
Starr Homeplace is a memorial Non Profit Foundation in Northeastern Louisiana dedicated to building a creative economy in the region.

Starr Homeplace's Community Day is coming up Saturday June 10th, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Community Day is held once a month to help gather together the creative people of the region and share different skills.

Starr Homeplace is a collection of nineteen buildings on ten acres of land that Joe Rolfe established as a memorial for his wife Starr. This month's Community Day will include blacksmithing, woodwork, painting, and a reenactment along with a plant and seed swap help by the Louisiana Backyard Gardeners. There will be a red beans and rice lunch for a donation of $8.00, but visitors are also allowed to pack a picnic style lunch. Visitors can come to showcase their own talent or to see other's talents.

The next Community Day will be held July 8th. More information on Starr Homeplace can be found here.
