Developing Infrastructure in Louisiana

LA DOTD HEADQUARTERS

More traffic, due to increased growth in populous, has brought about the decision to develop the roads in Louisiana. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development held a meeting to discuss the project with Governor John Bell Edwards and other officials.

Gov John Edwards said "I think the people of this area are going to see a tremendous benefit from this investment, but both as it relates to tourism and commerce, but mostly just everyday quality of life for users."

The project will cost about thirty three million dollars. It stretches the three mile lane from Arkansas road to Caldwell road and it includes expanding the roads to four lanes as well as adding several roundabouts
