Downtown Gallery Crawl Highlights Local Artists

Downtown Gallery Crawl
Downtown Gallery Crawl features more than sixty residential artists in addition to guest artists.

The Downtown Gallery Crawl is an art event that spans across the Ouachita River featuring eight local galleries in Monroe and West Monroe. The River Gallery, Rumo's, Garret House, The Palace, Arender Studio and Gallery, Upstairs Gallery, Sugar Gallery, and The Big Room are all participating in making this twin cities gallery crawl a possibility.

This event takes place the first Thursday of every even numbered month. ( i.e. October, December, February). This month's crawl will include many exciting activities for crawlers to enjoy. A fundraiser for the Louisiana Purchase Zoo at the Garret House location of the crawl will be complete with art that showcases animals at the zoo, along with some special animal guests from the zoo. The gallery crawl is also featuring a new addition to Art Alley, a pop-up outdoor gallery next to the railroad tracks in downtown West Monroe. Also in Art Alley will be creative quilting/ embroidery activities for guests to try.

The crawl will take place October 6th, 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. The event is always free. Crawlers do get the opportunity to buy original art though if they are interested. More information on the Downtown Gallery Crawl can be found here.
