Police in Ruston are investigating a fatal accident that involved a school bus.
Police believe the deceased male was sitting in the roadway, and the driver of the school bus was unable to see him. The victim was killed by the Lincoln Parish Bus. The preliminary investigation shows the school bus was traveling eastbound on Second Avenue and was turning southbound onto Gill Street. Five Ruston police units were on the scene of the accident.
The bus was almost fully loaded with elementary-aged children making their way to school. The Lincoln Parish School Board sent buses to take the children to their schools.
