Hunger is a huge problem in the Northeast Louisiana area. To combat this issue, The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana is kicking off an area-wide "Spread the Love" peanut butter drive to benefit children, families and seniors who face hunger in Northeast Louisiana.

Members of the NELA community are encouraged to donate peanut butter in plastic jars or funds to the Food Bank by Wednesday Feb.28. Donations of peanut butter can be dropped off at the Food Bank's distribution center locate at 4600 Central Avenue in Monroe.

Peanut butter is a much needed staple as it is a protein-packed food that kids love.
