State police: 2 men die in head-on collision with school bus

Louisiana State Police say two men died when their car crash head-on in the Webster Parish school bus.
 

Trooper Matt Harris said in a news release the bus driver and the 47 students that were on board the bus were not injured in Wednesday's crash.

 
The accident happened on Louisiana Highway 2 near Shongaloo
 

Harris identified the victims as the car's driver, 35-year-old Freddy Bryant of Shongaloo, and his passenger, 29-year-old Gary Matlock of Plain Dealing.

 

 Harris says Bryant was eastbound at a high rate of speed when his lost control of his car, across the center line and collided with the bus driven by 67-year-old Michael Timmons of Sarepta
